Join or Leave a Portal in VIDIZMO
In VIDIZMO, a primary account can have multiple portals for segregation, categorization, and organization of digital media content. Users of one portal can request to join another portal, or leave a portal they no longer need access to.
Note: The Join Portal option is only visible on portals that have join requests enabled in their membership settings. If you do not see the join icon on a portal card, the portal administrator has not enabled this option.
Prerequisites
- You must be signed in to your VIDIZMO account
- To join a portal, the portal must have join requests enabled in its membership settings
- To leave a portal, you must be a current member of that portal
Navigate to All Portals
- Click the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner to expand the navigation panel.
- Click on Portals to expand the portals section.
- Select All Portals from the dropdown menu.
Join a Portal
The All Portals page lists all portals created under your account. Portals you have not joined display a Join (+) icon on the portal card.
- Locate the portal you want to join and click the Join Portal (+) icon.

- In the confirmation dialog, click Join to submit your request.
After clicking Join, the outcome depends on the portal's security and approval settings:
| Outcome | Description |
|---|---|
| Auto-approved | You are added to the portal immediately and can access its content |
| Pending approval | Your request is submitted for admin approval. You will be notified once approved |
Leave a Portal
You can remove yourself from a portal at any time. Once you leave, you will no longer have access to its content or settings.
- On the All Portals page, locate the portal you want to leave and click the Leave Portal (-) icon.

A confirmation dialog appears to prevent accidental removal.
- Type the exact name of the portal in the confirmation field.
- Click Remove to leave the portal.
Warning: Leaving a portal is immediate. You will lose access to all content and settings associated with that portal.
